Bluetooth searching problems


Unable to find the Dreo device in Bluetooth list

  • The Dreo device needs to be plugged in in order to be found via Bluetooth.Please check the Dreo device is plugged into the powered outlet.
  • Bluetooth won't discover any already paired devices. If you would like to re-connect to your Dreo device, please try the following:
    • Long press the Power button for 10 seconds to reset the Dreo device to factory settings, then get your Bluetooth to search for devices again.
    • Long press the Oscillation button for 5 seconds to enter connection settings, then get your Bluetooth to search for devices again. Note that the pairing should be done within 5 minutes.
  • The page may be lagging. Please turn off Bluetooth, re-enable it, and try searching for devices again.

Configuration problems


Unable to find my WiFi network

  • Other WiFi networks nearby could be interfering with your wireless signal. Please try the following:
    • Move the Dreo device closer to your modem/router, reload the WiFi network list.
    • Manually enter your WiFi name and password to connect.
  • The Dreo device can't connect to a 5GHz WiFi network. Please make sure your WiFi is 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.
  • The Dreo device can't find a hidden WiFi network. Please check that your WiFi is not hidden. If your WiFi network is hidden, please try the following:
    • Manually enter your WiFi name and password to connect.
    • Unhide your WiFi network in your modem/router settings.

Pairing failures


Fix Your WiFi & Router

  • Move the Dreo device closer to your WiFi router or a location with better WiFi signal.
  • Double check if your WiFi name and password were inserted correctly.
  • Make sure your WiFi network has internet access.
  • Make sure your WiFi network doesn't require two-factor or multi-factor authentication.
  • The Dreo device doesn't support OWE and WPA3 wireless encryption protocols. Please change your router to WPA2 or WPA.
  • Your router may have an active whitelist and only allowed devices can access. Please try the following:
    • Turn off MAC filtering.
    • Add the Dreo device to your MAC whitelist. To find the MAC address of the Dreo device:
      • Turn off MAC filtering, connect the Dreo device to your WiFi, and log in to your router settings to view its MAC address.
  • The Dreo device may not be compatible with your router. Please try connecting the Dreo device with other routers.

Fix Your Bluetooth

  • Please check your Bluetooth signal and make sure the signal is in range. Move the Dreo device closer to your mobile device.

Check App Permissions

  • Certain app permissions are required during the pairing. Please go to Settings and grant required permissions to the Dreo app.
    • Permission Required for Android devices: Location
    • Permission Required for Android devices: Bluetooth

Device Compatibility

  • In rare cases the Dreo device may not be compatible with your mobile device. Please try pairing with other devices.
